At the end of March, in perfect weather, we spent two nights boondocking and one day riding the motorcycles through and around the Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada.
We camped free on BLM land just off the Valley of Fire Highway. While there we rode through the park, which charged $10 per vehicle, including motorcycles (not fair, but I’ll save the rant for later.) We stopped by the visitor center, one of our favorite things to do, then hiked a portion of White Domes Trail. However, we were more in the mood to ride than hike, so we continued on riding Nevada 167 through Lake Mead Recreational Area. On 167 we had light traffic, great pavement and nice open views.
