Muc-Off is a well known name in the bicycle world, if you haven’t heard of them yet for your motorcycle, definitely check them out. Their motorcycle care products are equally impressive. We received the complete motorcycle collection for review before we hit the road full time and we continue to use them today to clean, protect and lube the bikes. Here is our Muc-Off Motorcycle Cleaner and chain lube review.
Motorcycle Cleaner
We really put Muc-Off to the test when we rode right after a rain that flooded much of the Southern California desert where we were workamping for the season. The run-off from the desert landscape washed through the streets and left me and my naked bike coated in thick mud.
After I peeled the mud off myself, I went to work on the bike. First step: clean with the Muc-Off Motorcycle Cleaner with Nano Technology. I hosed down the bike and then sprayed the cleaner all over and let it sit for a couple minutes (don’t let it dry). I could see the mud start to loosen and run down the bike. There were a few areas that needed scrubbing, but the cleaner made it a much simpler task.
Motorcycle Protectant
Muc-Off Motorcycle Protectant is designed to inhibit corrosion and prohibit dirt from adhering to all the bits. Safe on the frame, chain, metal parts, plastics, rubber and paintwork. Shake, spray and wipe. I used it everywhere except the chain and tires. It had a sheen and a nice scent until it dried and my bike does seem to stay clean longer after use.
Chain Clean and Lube
Last up in our Muc-Off Motorcycle Cleaner Review and perhaps the most import step to cleaning your motorcycle – the chain. Muc-Off offers both a chain cleaner and three types of motorcycle chain lube, All-Weather,Dry and Wet. We chose the Muc-Off Dry Chain Lube and loved that it lubricated the chain without build-up or flinging lube, the one downside is that we seemed to go through a can quickly, lubricating after every ride. First, the Muc-Off Chain Cleaner and Chain Brush made easy work of a dirty chain and sprocket.
